Lauren Boebert's Campaign Investigating 'Very Unusual Voting Patterns' as She Trails in Tight Race

The campaign of Rep. Lauren Boebert, a Republican from Colorado, has found something of concern in the voting.

Boebert trails Democrat Eileen Laubacher as she fights to hold her seat after an election in which House Republican candidates were routed across the nation, according to Newsweek.

The most recent 4th Congressional District count has Laubacher leading with 48.75 percent of the vote against Boebert’s 47.94 percent, based on 97 percent of the votes being counted.

Scott Gessler, an attorney for Boebert’s campaign, said the campaign is nowhere near ready to admit defeat.

“A significant number of votes remain outstanding in the race. We are fighting for every vote and will continue to ensure every legal vote is counted,” he said.

“Since election night, ballot returns have been trending in Congresswoman Boebert’s direction, consistently lowering the margin under one percentage point,” he added.

“We are investigating some very unusual voting patterns and expect this election to head to a recount, one way or another,” he said, offering no details.
