Groom Pushed His Bride Into a Pool at Their Wedding – He Did Not Notice Her 82-Year-Old Grandfather Behind Him

He opened his mouth. Nothing came out.

"For who, Ryan?"

Finally, "Everyone."

I nodded. "Except me."

Ryan looked away.

I asked, "Was someone going to post it?"

Silence.

Then Matt said, "Ryan talked about TikTok."

Ryan snapped, "I said maybe."

Nicole muttered, "Oh, you're disgusting."

Ryan rounded on her. "Stay out of this."

I stepped between them.

"Don't talk to her."

"Emily, she's making it worse."

"No. She's standing beside me while you're explaining why humiliating your wife was content."

His face changed. He knew he'd lost the room.

That mattered to him.

Ryan always liked being the funny one.

The charismatic one. The person everybody watched.

I'd loved that about him.

Sometimes his jokes went too far. I'd told him before.

He'd always said, "You know me. I'd never actually hurt you."

I looked at the pool.

Then back at him. "I'm leaving."

He blinked. "What?"

"I'm leaving."

"It's our wedding."

"I know."

"You can't just leave."

I almost laughed.

"You shoved the bride into a pool. I think we're past etiquette."

Nicole put an arm around me.

Mom said, "You're coming home with me."

Ryan stepped forward. "Emily, please. We can fix this."

I looked at him.

"What exactly are you sorry for?"
